Enclosed please find an application frem Varian Export Corporation for a license to export over a two-year period up to 80 millicuries of nickel;- 63 per country to those countries listed in 5110.27 except Cambodia, Cuba, Laos, N. Korea, and Outer Mongolia or a total of 880 millicuries of material.
Before *.aking action on this license application, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the issuance of the requested license would be inimical to the interests of the United States, including the comon defense and security.
