Dear Sir:
Tragsmitted herewith are seventy copies of Revision I tg Offshore Power Syst' ems' Topical Report 36A59, "FNP Core Ladle Design and Safety Evaluation". This re-vision addresses action items resulting from meeting on May 7-8, 1979, between Offshore Power Systems, the NRC Staff, and consultants (Brookhaven National Labora-tory, Aerospace Corp., and Harbison-Walker Refractories).
The purpose of these meetings was to discuss, and resolve to the extent possible, Staff concerns arising from review of Topical Report No. 36A59.
At the conclusion of the meetings, items requiring further action were recapped and grouped into two categories, i.e., those items to be addressed prior to SER Supplement No. 3 and those items which could be lef t for the final design phase.
Our responses reflect this categoriza-tion, which is documented in the NRC Staff meeting report by A. R. Marchese dated May 17, 1979.
