PALISADES PLAUT - AUXILIARY FEED-WATER SYSTDI OPERA 3ILITY In response to concerns regarding the TMI incident, Consumers Power Company will co==it to operation of the auxilury feedvater system in the following manner:
With the primary coolant system temperature greater than 325, both auxiliary feedvater pumps and one fire pump will be crerable except as folleva:
a.
One auxiliary feecater pump may be inoperable for a period of 72 ho rs.
b.
The firevater cakeup to the auxiliary feedvater pump suction may be inoperable for a period of 72 hours8.333333e-4 days <br />0.02 hours <br />1.190476e-4 weeks <br />2.7396e-5 months <br />.
If an inoperable auxiliary feedvater pump is not restored to service in 72 hours8.333333e-4 days <br />0.02 hours <br />1.190476e-4 weeks <br />2.7396e-5 months <br />, the plant vill be placed in hot shutdown within the next 12 hours1.388889e-4 days <br />0.00333 hours <br />1.984127e-5 weeks <br />4.566e-6 months <br />.
This mode of operation vill be incorporated in the plant operating procedures by June 15, 1979, and vill continue in effect until such time as Auxiliary Feedvater Technical Specification Changes have been approved.
