United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission May 10, 1979 Attention: Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Page 2 Reference (b) is the second part of the Final onad Definition Report. This report provides infernation required to define the hydrodynamic Joads produced on the containment system of domestic Mark I plants during postulated loss-of-coolant-accidents, safety / relief valve discharges and related dynamic events.
The first part of this report (Reference (d) ) was previously placed on the Vermont Yankee docket.
Reference (c) provides information to insure that the structural acceptance criteria are applied consistently in the plant unique structural evaluations performed as part of the Mark I Containment Program.
Reference (c) describes the methodo]egy for calculating the loads on the boundaries of a Mark I pressure suppression pool due to safety / relief valve actuation in plants eq tipped with T-Quencher discharge devices.
This report was provided as part of Task 7.1.1.2 of the Mark I Containment Program.
Reference (f) presents results of plant unique pool swell tests conducted in the Mark I Quarter Scale Test Facility and was provided as part of Task 5.5.3 lbrk I Containment Program.
