This refers to your application dated June 28, 1978 requesting approval of your Quality Assurance (QA) program as meeting the QA procram requirements of 10 CFR 71.51.
In connection with our review, we need the information identified in the enclosure to this letter. Please submit seven copies of your response to the enclosed request for additional information within 30 days following receipt of this letter. Also, please delete everything after Part 7, " Audits," of the application. While there must be supporting written procedures to implement your QA program, these procedures and forms should not be submitted as part of your QA program plan.

At least once each year each activity related to radioactive material packaging should be audited by someone having no responsibility in the activity being audited. This includes the activities of the Radia-tion Protection Officer. Please commit to this reouirement.
