TRANSMITTAL OF EXTREME WIND RESEARCH MATERIAL Mr. D. Nunn of Nunn, Synder & Associates has provided copies of material utilized in his study.of fastest mile wind speeds along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts to me. This material was provided to us in accordance with the now concluded work directives and contracts identified as follows.

2) WorkDirectiveNo.3,datedNohember 29, 1978, Contract No. NRC-3-76-309 Six documents hahe been copied and by copy of this memorandum are being transmitted to the NRC Public Document Room, 1717 H Street, Washington, D.C.

A seventh document, computer printouts of statistical analysis of extreme winds, is being kept in the meteorology section. library situated in the Phillips Building, Bethesda, Maryland and.is available for review.

Additional copies of the six documents have been-provided to R. Kornasiewicz, OSD and D. Nunn of Nunn, Synder & Associates. Questions regarding the material should be addressed to myself at 301-492-72,88..
