This is in response to your letter dated February 19, 1979 in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, copies of documents concerning NRC Translation No.161 and WASH-1400.
Your letter v:as received by the Office of Administration on February 23, 1979.
In response to your request, please find enclosed NRC Translation No.
161 and other records concerning that translation.
For your information, the German report translation identified as NRC-161 has now been revised by Report GRS-A-59, but has not been translated into English.
The German language version of GRS-A-59 is not enclosed.
However, if you desire a copy, please advise us.
Also enclosed for your information is a copy of NUREG/CR-0400 - RISK ASSESSMENT REVIEW GROUP REPORT TO THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION, concerning WASH-1400.
The documents listed in Appendix A concern WASH-1400 and have already been made publicly available at the NRC Public Document Room (PDR),
subject to an F0IA request (F01A-79-28).
These documents may be obtained by writing directly to the PDR,1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20555. The charge for reproducing records from paper copy is $0.08 per page, and for the tape transcript of a Commission meeting, the actual cost of reproduction, as specified in 10 CFR 9.14(a) of the Commission's regulations (copy enclosed). The number of pages per document is indicated in Appendix A.
