20555 NRC DOCKET 50-321 OPERATING LICENSE DPR-57 EDWIN I. HATCH NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1 IN-SERVICE INSPECTION Gentlemen:

In Georgia Power Company's August 3, 1978, letter of transmittal for our in-service inspection and testing program for the upcoming 40-month period, it was noted that the inspection planned for the spring 1979 outage would be conducted under the present 40-month program.

Now, due to considerations of scheduling and availability, the spring 1979 inspection will be performed as prescribed by the second 40-month program. A copy of the in-service inspection report will be submitted following the outage indicating which welds and components were inspected.

Yours very truly, u
