Upon receipt of Executive Branch views on your application, a staff analysis was forwarded to the Commission for initial review on January 4, 1979. As you may know, recent develop-ments in US-Taiwan relationships occurring since the receipt of the Executive Branch comments which bear on our cooperative arrangements with Taiwan must be taken into consideration where the subject application is concerned.
