This is to supplement our letter of November 22, 1978 in which we informed you that the NRC had not completed licensing action on applications XCOM00_67.and XCOM0070 for the export of components to France and West Germany.

In accordance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act, we are pro-viding this follow-up report on the status of these applications.

The Department of State still has not received the required generic assurances concerning retransfers from the countries that will be importing the equipment. Until these assurances are received, we are unable to issue licenses for the export of components to these countries.
