This is to supplement our letter of November 17, 1978 in which we informed you that the NRC had not completed licensing action on your application XCOM0051 for the export of components to Italy.
In accordance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act, we are providing this follow-up report on the status of this application.
The Department of State still has not received the required generic assurance concerning retransfers from the Government of Italy. Until this assurance is received, we are unable to issue a license for the export of components to this country.
