Re: In the Matter of Public Service Company of New Hampshire, et al Docket Nos. 50-443, 50-444 Gentlemen:

I must reluctantly inform you that I have been unable, due to time pressures from other commitments during this short inter-holiday week, to further work on the Staff testimony on alternative sites in order to more precisely define the issues as requested in your Order of December 26, 1978.

I will take the Staff testimony with me on the vacation trip I indicated to the Board that I was taking with my family between December 30, 1978, and January 9, 1979 (at the risk of exceeding airline weight limitation requirements).

I will endeavor, during any available time on this vacation, to work further on the Staff testimony and advise the members of the Board, and the other parties, of any further definition I can give to the statement of issues.

I also regret to inform the Board that due to the time limits im-posed and the unavailability of people during this inter-holiday week, I have been unable to arrange for any direct evidence. As the Board will of course be aware, it is our position that this hearing is being scheduled with unseemly haste.
