Dear Centlemen:
On June 28, 1978, the flRC Staff published its policy on open meetings in the Federal Register (43 Fed. Reg. 28058).
A copy of the flRC Staff policy statement is enclosed.
The general effect of that policy statement is that all meetings conducted by the f4RC Staff as part of the review of any proposed licensing action will be open to attendance by the general public, including parties to a hearing and petitioners for leave to intervene.
The f1RC Staff will be pleased to have you attend any of the meetings covered by the policy statement.
In order to facilitate your being timely informed of the occurrence of these meetings, meeting notices will be routinely sent to you indicating the time and place of the meeting in question and the topics under consideration.
In addition, you will also receive, subsequent to any meetings covered by this policy statement, summaries of the business transacted at those meetings.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact'me.
