BOMB THREAT At 12:40 p.m.. March 25, 1980, an individual carryi..J two paper bags walked to Post 1 (Perimeter Fence outside the Protected Areaf and demanded imediate access, stating he would blow up the plant if it were not granted.
The man was detained at Post 1.
Local police arrived 1n about 5 minutes.
The State Police or rived a few mir.utes later, and placed the man under arrest.
There were no explosives in the bags.
The individual also stated he is Jesus Christ and we are not obeying his comandments.
Local media reer,onded to the scene.
It is not yet known whether the licensee plans a press release.
No NRC press release is planned, but news avia inquiries will be answered.
The State of Maryland has been informed.
The resident inspector is following up on site.
NRC Region I was informed of this event about 1:00 p.m.
by telephone f rom the resident inspector.
