a) Serial Howe-221-79; dated August 15, 1979 b) Serial Howe-271-79; dated October 19, 1979 In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.55(e), this letter constitutes a third interim report concerning a potentially unsafe situation with respect to the tripping of reactor coolant pumps during certain primary systen high void fraction conditions. This situation was described in reference a). The schedcle shows that an FSAR amendment will be sub'nitted in September of 1980 which will describe the system changes necessary to correct the reportable condition- .

Another report, either interim or final, will be submitted cn or before Octobe'r 13, 1980.
