SUBJECT:
PROPOSED MEMORANDUM 0F UNDERSTANDING (MOU) AND ACCOMPANYING SUBAGREEMENT WITH THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA We have reviewed the proposed MOU with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the proposed subagreement pertaining to low-level radioactive waste inspection that was enclosed with your memorandum of July 26, 1985.
In general, we find that the two documents are consistent with current legis-lation and the Commission's policy and formali7e existing errangements already in place in Region I.
On page 2 of the subagreement, we suggest that the last two lines of the last paragraph under (1) be changed to read:
...except for situations where NRC provides training to the employees of the commonwealth.
This change was discussed with Frank Young of your staff.
IE concurs in the subject proposed MOV and subagreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
