C'.!TED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATO:V C0" MISSION DCCKET NO. 50-336 NORTFEAST NU R EAR ENERGY CCMPANY, ET AL NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDttENT TO FACILI7 OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comnission (the Cornission) has issued Amendment No. 49 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-55, issued to Northeast Nuclear Energy Company, The Connecticut Light and Power Company, The Hartford Electric Light Company, and Western Massachusetts Electric Company (the licensees), which revised Technical Specifications for operation of the Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 2 (the facility) located in tne Town of Waterford, Connecticut.
The anendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
The amendment changes the Technical Specifications for engineered safety feature actuation system and radiation monitoring instrunenta-tion.
These changes concern the alarm / trip setpoints, the minimun channels operable and the action statements for the containment airborne radioactivity ncnitor, the spent fuel storage area monitors and the spent fuel storage airborne radioactivity monitor.

7590-01 The Cornission has determined that the issuance of this amendment will not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to i0 CFR 551.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statenent, or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
For further details with respect to this action, see (1) the application for amendment dated August 15, 1978, (2) Amendment No. 49 to License No. DPR-65, and (3) the Commission's related Safety Evaluation.
