Dear Mr. Schakne:
This is i'. response to your letter dated April 6,1979, in which you requeste., pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, the test scores of four R< c - tor Operators licensed,for the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station. By letter dated April 10, 1979, you expanded your request to include the examination questions and the written responses. This confirms a telephone conversation on April 20, 1979 with Mr. Don Grimsley of this office, in which you agreed to exclude from the scope of your request the identity of the reactor operators. In response to your request, copies of the requested records, which are in the possession of the NRC, are being placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR),1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, DC. In addition, similar records for the other reactor operators of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 2 are also being placed in the PDR. In accordance with NRC's approved record disposal schedules, examination and examination results are retained for two years after the issuance of a license and then destroyed. In those cases where the examination was previously destroyed, we have placedin the PDR a sunmary report of the examination results.
