It was good to see you again. The conference gave me an opportunity to see some old friends and meet new ones.
The briefings you and your staff provided me were first-rate in every way. I appreciate your taking the time from the conference to bring me up to date on your waste management, safeguards, and fuel cycle safety programs. Please thank Jim Campbell, Fred Donath, Leon Chapman and Dave McCloskey for the fine jobs they did.
I particularly want to thank Wendell Weart for his excellent briefing on WIPP. It is by all odds the most effective one I've heard to date.
