dh 7530-01 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-334 DUQUESNE LIGHT COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No.16 to Facility Operating License No. OPR-66 issued to Duquesne Light Company, Ohio Edison Company, and Pennsylvania Light Company (the licensee). which revised the license for operation of the Beaver Valley Power Station Unit No.1, (the facility), located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
The amendment became effective on February 23, 1979.
The amendment adds license conditions to include the Commission-approved physical security plan as part of the licenses.
The licensee's filings comply with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior public notice of this anendment was not required since this amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.

7590-01 The Commission has determined that the issuance of this amendment will not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR 551.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
The licensee's filings dated October 31, 1977, as supplemented May 15, 1978 and February 21, 1979, and the Commission's Security Plan Evaluation Report are being withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(d). The withheld information is subject to disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR $9.12.
