J. Wetmore As requested by TAC 7441, enclosed is the Plant Systems Branch input to the Safety Evaluation Report for the Dairyland Power Cooperative's (DPC) proposed modification to the spent fuel storage pool for the Lacrosse Boiling Water Reactor.
We have reviewed the issues of criticality, cooling, rack installation, and fuel handling as they are discussed in the licensee's submittals
. supporting its proposed amendment to the facility's operating license.
We find DPC's application for the license amendment acceptable with respect to the above listed issues, provided that the uranium-235 loading in fuel assemblies that are to be placed in the pools is limited to the amounts established as acceptable in this report.
