Dear Mr. MacDonald:
Nuclear Engineering Company, Inc. (NECO) hereby withdraws its June 2, 1978 application for approval to deliver to a carrier for transport greater than type A quantities of radioactive materials in our Model Nos. L2-181 and L3-181 packagings.
We have decided to take this action based on our estimate of the expense involved to modify the casks to meet NRC licensing standards.
