APRIL 20, l?79 - DISCUSSION ON REVISIONS OF SECTION II -
SNM 414, DOCKET NO.70-364 Attendees:
NRC B&W W. G. Browne K. Artman W. Burkhardt T. Congedo License SNM-414, as renewed February 2, 1979, contained certain conditions requiring action by B&W to improve their plutonium facility fire protection and ventilation systems. These required actions are identified in conditions numbered 12, 17, 23, 37 and 38.
Prior to B&W's formal submittal of information to conform with these conditions a discussion was held to determine the adequacy of the approach taken by B&W.
The required description of procedures, controls, and equipment will be inco,porated in a revised Chapter 3, " Facilities Description," to the Demonstration Section as well as appropriate changes to conform with Condition 20 regarding Emergency Procedures.
B&W was requested to include suitable line schematics showing " instrument-electrical interlock system (s) for detection, alarm and ventilation control" as required in License Condition 37. Also, it was recommended that the cover letter transmitting the information clearly identify the License Condition (s) being complied with and referenced to the specific portions (page number and section number) of the Sections submitted.
