SUBJECT:

Request for Dccmption fran Regulations for License SD1 1107 Docket 79-1151 70 This will confirm our recent telephone conversation concerning the above subject.

1.

The accumulation of scrap containers for the requested period will not have a significant effect on IE/r1UP. There will be a slight change on the Uranium LEAUF of less than.1% and no noticeable change on the U235 IEAUF.

2.

The current accumulation of scrap represents 7 or 8 months inventory.

3.

The word scrap blends should not have been used for describing the accumulation scrap in our previous request. 'Ihe limit of error listed as + 10-15% with a maximum of + 18% represents incinerated baled waste and other sources of contaminatcd scrap that cannot be blended into blends. The majority of accunulated scrap will be incinerated ash.

If you have further questions, please contact me.

Sincerely, b '-
