Dear Mr. Jackson:
Confirming our telecon on March 27, 1979, Westinghouse requests flRC approval to extend our next Sf;M (less than 5% enrichment) physical inventory date from April 28,1979, to on or before May 19, 1979, to provide additional time to:
1)
Reprocess approximately 2,400 polypaks in sturage that have not been pre ~;ously tamper-safed.
Reference March 14, 1979, letter to James arlow ::nd telecon on liarch 13, 1979.
2)
Blend off-stream SNil to measurable homogeneous forms for better accuracy and a beneficial effect on an overall lower LE/MUF.
Payment of the amendment fee pursuant to 10CFR170 will follow under separate correspondence.
