The QA Program is implemented as shown on the attached organization cha rt.

The Radiation Safety Officer is responsible for overall administration of the program, training and certification, document control, and auditing.

The Radiographers are responsible for handling, storing, shipping, inspection, test and operating status and record keeoing.

2.

Quality Assurance Procram The management of North Dakota State Water Commission (Licensee Name) establishes and implements this QA Program. Training, prior to engagement, for all QA functions is required according to written procedures. QA Program revisions will be made accordina to written procedures with management aoproval. The QA Program will ensure that all defined QA procedures, engineering procedures, and specific provisions of the package design aoproval are satisfied. The QA Program will emphasize control of the characteristics of the package which are critical to safety.

The Radiatien Safety Officer shall assure that all radioactive naterial shippina nackages are designed and manufactured under a OA Program approved by Nuclear Regulatory Corr:ission for all packanes desianed or fabricated after luly 1, 1978. This requiroment can te satisfied by receiving a certificaticn to this ef fect from the manuf acturer.
