This is to inform you that our response to NRC IE Bulletin 79-03 for Farley Nuclear Plant-Unit 1 on " Longitudinal Weld Defects in Pipe Spools Manufactured by Youngstown Welding and Engineering Company" cannot be com-pleted within thirty (30) days as requested. An extension is needed to complete the review of the piping documentation. Our response for both Farley Units 1 and 2 will be provided by Iby 12, 1979.
