This is in response to that part of your letter dated April 13,1979, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, transcripts of NRC closed Commission meetings relating to the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 2 incident.

Copies of transcripts of the closed Commission meetings regarding Three Mile Island Unit 2 from March 30, 1979 to April 23, 1979 are currently available for purchase at the NRC Public Document Room (PDR), 1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20555.

Copies can be obtained by writing directly to the PDR.

You will be billed directly by the PDR Reproduction Contractor, Potomac Research, Inc.

The cost of available transcript copies is as follows:

2 the type and number of tapes per meeting. The March 30 meeting was recorded in part on mini-cassettes; the remaining meetings were recorded on 45-minute cassettes.

The flRC does not have facilities to duplicate cassettes. However, we are prepared to provide the tapes to local contractors for duplication.

These contractors have indicated the estimated duplication costs for the regular 45-minute cassettes will be $5.50 per cassette, and for the mini-cassette, $12.95.

You may send your order to us and we will provide the pertinent tapes to a contractor.

The contractor will then contact you directly regarding billing and payment.
