Dear Mr. Sylvester:
Thank you for your letter of April 12th and kind invitation to attend and speak to the University of Virginia Student Legal Forum.
I would be both pleased and honored to join the list of distinguished speakers that you have had in the past, but am afraid that my schedule is such that I am reluctant to give you a firm commitment to attend at this time.
I would therefore appreciate the opportunity to defer a decision for now with the thought that I may be able to be present during the Fall period.
I am hesitant to give you a date now that I may not be able to keep.
I will be back in touch and will look forward to seeing you in Charlottesville if at all possible later in the year.
