Thank you for your letter of March 27, 1979 providing your views on NRC's interpretation and implementation of the Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act of 1978. The Commission requested additional infor-mation from various interested parties and expects to consider this, matter further in the near future.
We appreciate your interest in this matter and wish to assure you that your views will be fully considered.
We will inform you of any position the NRC takes regarding the applicability of the three year period to mill licensing actions in Agreement States when the Commission's deliberations are completed.
