Enclosed please find a letter from General Atomic Co=pany requesting an amendment to export license XS?ci-832 to increase the quantity of uranium authorized for export by an additional 1,970 grams uraniua, containing 390 grams uranium-235 (19.8%

enrichment).

Before taking action on this license amendment request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the issuance of the requested amendment would be inimical to the interests of the United States, including the comon defense and security, and whether the proposed expert meets the applicable criteria in the Atcmic Energy Act as amended by the Nuclear Honpro-liferation Act of 1978 Sincerely, k
