Turner President 126th Street and Homan Avenue Blue Island, IL 60406 _~ Gentlemen: This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. T. M. Tongue of this office on March 5 and 6, 1979, of activities at Superior Industrial X-ray Company, and one of your field sites, authorized by NRC Byproduct Material License No. 12-02370-01 and to the discussion of our findings with you at the conclusion of the inspection. The inspection was an examination of activities conducted under your license as they relate to radiation safety and to compli-ance with the Commission's rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license. The inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records, observations, independent measurements, and interviews with personnel. The inspector also examined actions you have taken with respect to the matters identified in your letters dated August 11, 1977 and November 15, 1977. We have no further questions regarding these matters. No items of noncompliance with NRC requirements were identified during the course of this inspection. g e cee g e q e e
