Dear Mr. Licitra:
The attached letter from Mr. W.R. Waugh reflects the testing he recommends we car:y ont on the base mat cylinder remnants which are now at the PCA Laboratory in Skokie, Illinois. This recom-mendation was made by M.c. Waugh after examining the remnants on January 11 and 12.
As stated in the last paragraph of Mr. Waugh's letter, he believes this testing program should provide data which will make it possible to reach a valid conclusion recarding the base mat concrete.
How-ever, it should be noted that additional 90-day remnants are currently at PCA and after the data from this testing becomes available, additional testing will be carried cut if necessary to satisfy the needs of the MRC, Bechtel or othsr involvad organizations.
We are most anxious to get this testing underway but will defer any laboratory work until we have heard from you.
