Accordingly, I request tnat you develop long-range projections of functions within your respective areas of prograra raspnsibility which yoc propose to regionalize.
These projections, subject to EDO evaluahion and acceptance, will form th basis for budget estimates of Suraa resources and program support fundin in FY 1984 and subsequent years.
Even though extensive regionalization s in the formulative stage, your projections should address the fellowing aspects of each function:
l (1)
General description; i.e., what will be done in Regions and whether it is now done in Headquarters or is it a new function.
(2) Authority and responsibility of the Region in erforming the r
function.
i (3) Expected long-tem demand for the function and estimated f!RC

resources that will be needed to support the demand over time:
