cetober 19, 1979 Identification of Occurrence:
The piping systems inspection and measurement program being conducted t response to IE Bulletin 79.-14 has identified a damaged sway strut on the "C" Reactor Feed Pusep discharge line.
Sway strut 3-600-S2 was found to have a cracked rod end.
Apparent Cause_ vf Occurrencer Under investigation.
Analysis of Occurrence:
During routine 79-14 inspection procedures, a sway strut associated with the Unit 3 "C" Reactor Feed Pump discharge line was found to have a cracked rod end. Unit 3 reactor is in the cold shutdown condition for refueling and startup will not be initiated until the problem has been corrected.
Corrective Actiont+
A new sway strut has been ordered to replace 3-600-82, and is expected to arrive Tuesasy 10/23/79 Corrective action will be implemented prior to initiation of startup of Unit 3 reactor.
