The operating license for Three Mile Island Unit I was signed and issued on April 19, 1974.

Prior to releasing the license, I spoke to the applicant's Project Manager, R. Heward. and the Assistant Project Manager, R. Burns, and obtained from them a commitment that they would immediately issue a letter to AEC Regulatory Operations to resolve exceptions as indicated in the RO memorandum from J. G. Davis to A. Giambusso of April 18, 1974.
