In response to our inquiry on this matter the applicant attested to the fact that the snubbers in Three Mile I.alc.cd 1 were nade only by Grinnell and Easic Engineers and the seals in the= are made of molded polyurethane c ethylene propylene. The applicant has agreed to include snubber surveillance in the Technical Specifications; and, as a matter of prudence, will replace the polyurethane seals with ethylene propylene seals as soon as parts are available. We concur with the advisability of this replacement but consider the present configuration, with surveillance, acceptable for licensing. Therefore, you may delete iten No. 9 from the Outstanding Items List.
