\\6ocket No. 50-289 License No. DPR-50 NOTE TO FILES On May 17, 1974, I discussed Section 1.7 (Containment Integrity) of the Technical Specifications with J. Herbein (Station Supt.) and L. Spessard (RO-I Inspector). A question had arisen about whether 1.7b permitted door seal maintenance or repair during reactor operation.

I stated that Section 1.7b should be construed to include such door seal work provided the other door of the affected air lock is kept shut. Consideration will be given to clarification of this section at the next convenient opportunity.
