During a vendor inspection, the 1:.censee determined that the decay heat cooler tubes (S/S) were cleaned in a chlorinar.ed colvent (Trade-name - Valcolene).

The coolers have been installed at the site.

B69 has authori::cd the removal and return of the coolers to the manu.

facturer: Whitlock P.anufacturing Co:pany, 101 South Street, West Hartford, Connecticut.

A chemical analysis of the solvent (Valcolene) shoued that it con-tained 37. methyl chloride.
