Dear Mr. Irvine:
This is in response to your letter of August 23, 1979, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, permission to review f1RC Commissioner Victor Gilinsky's 1978 telephone log.
During the year 1978 Commissioner Gilinsky did not maintain a telephone log.
It is only since the Three Mile Island incident this year that he has started to keep a record of his phone calls. Mrs. Sylvia Elizondo, the Commissioner's Administrative Assistant, maintains this log for him.
She has only been employed in the flRC since July 1979, and was not aware that the telephone log is a relatively new procedure in that office. The Commissioner will be happy to make his 1979 log available at the end of the year.
