L-NRC Docket Nos. 50-10/237/249, Commonwealth Edison 50-254/265, 50-295/304, 50-373/374, 50-454/455, 50-456/457 Mr. J. G. Keppler July 5, 1979 Extensive effort has been expended since the receipt of the bulletin to address the issues raised.
Commonwealth Edison has undertaken a comprehensive program applicable to all of the operat-ing plants and plants under construction in our system to resolve those concerns.
A detailed discussion of this program is provided in the attachment to this letter, as well as a discussion of those portions of the program that are now complete.
In addition, per Reference (c) Commonwealth Edison indi-cated that Morrison Quality control had initiated a 100% bolt torque audit of anchor bolts being installed at LaSalle County Station.
This program continued through May 31, 1979 at which time it was evaluated based upon the audit results.
The evaluation indicated that the program was working very well.
Hence, Commonwealth Edison has decided to continue the program at LaSalle County Station.
Please address any additional questions that you might have regarding this matter to this office.
Very truly yours,
