This is in response to your letter dated April 6, 1979, con-cerning approval of our Quality Assurance Program under the requirements of 10 CFR Section 71.51.
This is in response to your question concerning Section 2.
It is the responsibility of the Laboratory Director / Radiation Safety Officer of St. Louis Testing Laboratories, Inc., to insure that our radioactive material shipping packages will be designed and manufactured under a Q.

program approved by the Nuclear Regulatory C ammission and substantiated by a certification from the manufac_urer to this effect.
This is in response to your question concerning Section 4.
The Radiation Safety Officer and/or Assistant Radiation Safety Officers are responsible for performing the critical handling, storage and shipping operations.
If you are in need of any additional information, please advise.
