Inspection 79-01 This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. C. Stearns of this office on February 5,1979, of activities authorized by NRC License No. SNM-1689 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Stearns with yourself and Dr. Banerjee of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection was limited to discussions of your plans for the use of licensed materials under License No. SNM-1689.
From these discussions it is our understanding that your license is presently inactive and that you have never used licensed material under the authorization of this license.
We also understand that you do not plan to initiate your program in the near future.
If our understandings are incorrect, please inform us in writing.
Within the scope of this inspection, no items of noncompliance were observed.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the Public Document Room.
No reply to this letter is required; however, should you have any questions concerning this inspection, we will be pleased to discuss them with you.
