Background:
VEPC0 is authorized under fiRC Materials License No. SlH-1801 to possess fuel and accessories for eventual use in the VEPC0 florth Anna Power Station, Unit 2.
The subject January 31, 1979 application requests that this license expiration date be extended from March 31, 1979 to December 1,1979.
General:
Delays associated with construction and licensing of the facility are such that an operating license will not be issued prior to the March 31, 1979 expiration date of the fuel storage license. Because of these delays the expiration date of Construction Permit flo. CPPR-78, the CP for florth Anna, Unit 2, has been extended to December 1,1979, according to infcrmation contained in the subject application.
Mr. A. Dromerick, Project Manager, DPM, verified that the information provided by VEPC0 was accurate and also advised that he had no objection to extending the expiration date of the storage license.
Radiological and fluclear Safety and Environmental:
Extension of the expiration date of the license does not change any of the previously approved radiological and nuclear safety parameters, nor does it affect previously made environmental considerations.
