This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. C. L. Cain of this office, on Jaruary 8 and 9,1979, of the activities authorized by NRC Byproduct Material License No. 35-11239-01, and to the discussion of our findings held by Mr. Cain with Messrs. Donald W. Thayer and Ronald G. Fisher on January 9,1979.
The inspection was an examination of the activities conducted under the license as they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Commission's rules and regulations, and the conditions of the license.
The inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representa-tive records, interviews of personnel, independent measurements and observa-tions by the inspector.
No items of noncompliance with NRC requirements were found during the inspection.
Mr. Cain also reviewed the action you had taken with respect to two items of noncompliance observed during our previous inspection, which was con-ducted January 23 and 24,1978.
He verified that the corrective action with respect to these items was implemented as stated in your reply of February 20, 1978, to our letter dated February 3,1978.
