SUBJECT:
HYDROLOGIC SITE VISIT TO V0GTLE ON FEBRUARY 6,1984 On February 6,1984, the staff met with representatives from Georgia Power Company, Southern Company Services, Inc., and Bechtel to tour the site and discuss staff tuestions in the hydrologic engineering review area.
Participants are listed in E1 closure 1.
A brief meeting was held to discuss staff questions and go over items tie staff wanted to accomplish during the site visit.
The staff toured the site to view the river intake and vicinity, the mechanical draft cool;ng towers, the reactor basemat and ditches, and other features pertaining to site sainage.
This site was actually too early in the construction process to be able to adequately observe many of the features pertinent to the hydrologic review. A later visit may be planned.
During the afternoon of February 6, the staff discussed the questions in detail as well as the some of the applicant's projected responses and solutions.
