This refers to the telephone conversation between Mr. J. A. Pagliaro and Mr. A. C. Magno of your staff on February 13, 1980, regarding the radiation levels outside your radiographic cell at 5663 Swanville Road, in Erie, Pennsylvania.
With regard to this matter, we understand that you have taken or will take the following actions:
1.
Cease radiographic operations in the cell until such time as additional shielding is added to the cell to meet the requirements of 10 CFR Part 20.1L.
2.
Complete a survey of the outside of the cell after additional shielding is installed and prior to resumption of radiographic operations.
3.
Notify this office of the results of the survey after the additional shielding is added and prior to resumption of radiographic operations.
If our understanding of your planned actions, as described above, is not in accordance with the actions being implemented, please contact this office immediately.
