CRACK AND GMALL LEAK IN A tiAlN FEEDWATER 3/4 INCH DRAIN LINE On Neweniber 19, 1979, the licenr.ee reported that they had found a small leak en a 3/4 inch drad itnr. of f the main f eedwater line.
This drain line is lucuted bptween the feedwater pu=p discharge and the,f eedwater regulator control valve and can not be icolated.
All leakage, estimated to be slightly greater than one gallon per hour, was collected directly into a drum.
There was no contamination spread and no significant airborne relCaSc.
The Unit was st art ed dnwn at 7 :(H) p.m. un Nuvember 19, 1979, and is currently in thc cold shutduva node.
The affected portion of the feedwater line is currently being drained to facilitate repairw.
The Inak in the 14 Inch lons 3/4 luch drain line is in the body of the pipe between u weld and the isolation valve.
The licensee int ends rn cut the 1ine and cap iL.
