Box 2063 Marrisburg, Pennsylvania 17105 Centlemen This refers to your latter dated July 7, 1972, wherein the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requests an extension of time to September 7,.1972, to possibly file a request for a hearing and petition to intervene in the matter of the issuance of a facility operating license which would authorise Metropolitan Edison Company and Jersey-Central Power and Light Company, and Pennsylvania Electric Cmy, as co-licensees, to possess, use, and operate the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 1 in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania (Docket No. 50-289).
For the reasons of good causa stated in your lottar, the t'r==anwealth of Pennsylvania is hereby granted an extension of time to September 7, 1972, to request a hearing or fils a petition to intervene as provided in the Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Facility operating License And Notice of opportunity For Hearing Pursuant to 10 CFR Part 50, Appendiz D., section C, dated June 29, 1972.
