This refers to the investigation conducted by Mr. D. G. Anderson of this office and Mr. G. A. Phillip of our Region III office on August 9, 20, 21, and 22, 1979, of allegations received by the NRC relating primarily to activities performed by Southwest Research Institute at NRC licensed nuclear reactor f acilities and to the discussion of our findings with you and members of yo2r staff at the conclusion of the investigation.
The enclosed copy of our investigation report identifies the areas examined during the investigatien. Within these areas, the investigation consisted of an examination of pertinent procedures and records and interviews with personnel.
No items of nonec=pliance with NRC requirements were identified during the course of this investigation.
A copy of this letter and the enclosed investigation report are beinF teed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
Based on the telephone conversation between U. Potapovs of this office and Mr. A. W. Betts on September 28, we understand that Southwest Research Institute does not wish to review this report for possible withholding from public disclosure as provided for in Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations.
